Cortlan McManus

Cortlan McManus is Head of Social for the Middle East regional office of Havas Digital based in Dubai. He is responsible for the social strategy for clients including CK, RB and Kia as well as major luxury and beauty brands.

Practicing integration across physical & digital, online and off, Cortlan has an integrated background formed in the international arena: ethnographic research focusing on participatory media working in Spain and Mexico; strategy and creative direction for the United Nations with the UN's first social/participatory campaign in the Middle East; information design and 3d animation with the New Media Lab; digital strategy for the New York Public Library; and with his own boutique content collaboration company for clients including Hain Celestial Organic, NFL, Pantone and NYC government.

He has also directed documentaries in Cuba, Iran and Ireland and live performance videos for Alicia Keys, Sean Kingston and Patti LaBelle. A born storyteller, he holds BA degrees in Anthropology & Spanish Literature, an MFA in Integrated Media Arts and an MS in Information Science whilst holding the 4 C's close to his heart: client, context, content and community.
